Wellbeing Around the World

Angel Gurría - OECD Secretary-General

"The OECD aims to help governments design better policies for better lives. Over the past ten years, the OECD has been leading the debate on measuring well-being and progress. This debate benefits from the involvement of citizens, as well as researchers and policy makers. We strongly support the Canadian Index of Wellbeing as an innovative citizen oriented initiative that contributes positively to measuring what matters most to the Canadian people."

Throughout the past decade, a new vision of societal wellbeing has been taking shape internationally. The CIW Network is viewed as a global pioneer in developing a holistic, integrated approach to measuring wellbeing. Because of this position of leadership, we are often invited to partner with experts in other countries and participate in international initiatives.
